Some days ago, I saw this Mascara Guard in a Sasa brouchures, so, I decided to check it out at the store, it is retailing at RM19.90. I was like, “Oh man, I wouldn’t pay RM20 for this piece of plastic! It’s too overpriced!”, so, I just forget about it.
Then, I went to Sg Wang Plaza to survey a little, indeed, I bought this at only RM5!!! Although it is still overpriced, but compared to RM19.90 in Sasa, it is much cheaper and worth trying out.
This mascara guard is designed to guard your eye lid when you are applying mascara so they don’t get stained by your mascara. It is curvy so you can press it against your lids. It is fun indeed. You will do a clean job of applying mascara, no more stain elsewhere!
But, here is the problem. If you apply charcoal type or pencil type of eye liner, the mascara guard might smudge your make up, or even eye shadow. This is a problem for short lashes, after you curl it, you will have to press the guard closely to your lid to get a nice job done. Unless you have very long lashes, then you can hold it further from your eyelid.
So, good or bad? You decide. I would say it’s a 5-5 thing, but, looking at its price of RM5, I think it is worth the fun.
