A while ago, I managed to ‘surprise’ some with my first Chanel, but I am going to show you a real Chanel today. A lip stick that is.
I have not bought any lipsticks for a while, let alone an expensive one. In fact I think I have never spent more than RM50 for a lipstick before *outdated*, but not anymore. *Er hem*
A while ago at the MWSAwards party, I had the honor of using Bee’s Chanel in Dragon, it was a beautiful red, but too red for my usual liking, and practicality.
But, someone else was hooked instead! Anyway, fast forward to last Saturday, I stepped into the boutique to accompany a friend to pick up her Dragon for another friend, without any intention to buy anything, something actually caught my eye.
It was the wife of the Dragon – Phoenix (shade #78). It looks like a pink, but a reddish pink.
I tried it in the shop, and decided – it was it.
The application is really easy, the liquid is smooth and creamy, just follow your natural lip line and you are almost good.
In this picture, the color is somehow washed out, but it is redder in person.
You see why I loved it at first sight?
Color is pigmented enough to show up, and not too glamorous on me. Or simply, it is a color that I will use on regular basis.
Being priced at RM110/6ml, no doubt the price is really steep. And I will see that I maximize the amount that I spent.
Taking a lip shot is really not easy, I had many attempts and my mouth just seemed crooked..and weird in the pics. And oh, I look scary if I smile with my teeth too 😀
The staying power of this is just alright, but again, all lipsticks seem to just disappear on me, so I guess I just have to live with it.
Here is a collage of my lips…and Happy Monday!
Price: RM110/6ml
Availability: Chanel counters/boutiques
I have no idea whether this is a permanent color, or LE, or if it is the latest color. What matters to me is, how much I love the shade.
