Pretty Beautiful

Skincare, Konad Stamping Nail Art, Nail Arts and Make Up!

Stepping into 2010..I can’t say that I am in early 20’s anymore. *cough* which also got me thinking: I think I should start using anti-aging skincare now!

Looking at my mom’s skin, I was wondering at what age did she start using anti-aging skincare. My mom used to have excellent skin when she was young and only started skincare routine when she was in 20’s.  I think we are so much fortunate now, with more exposure to more affordable skin care products at much affordable prices, with much better and more advanced technology. There is really no reason that we are NOT using any at all.

Right now I am still using anti-blemish and hydration series, soon, I will have to venture into anti-aging skincare. I have read in some articles that one of the key ingredients in anti-aging skincare is stem cells. It is supposed to help to regenerate our new skin cells. I have yet to study deeper.

Anyone has any recommendation for starters of anti-aging skincare?

Valentine’s Day is coming! And on the first day of Chinese New Year. It is special because I will spend it with my family. :) And with loads of love too!

Fancy some Hershey’s Kisses for Valentines?

Prepare base coat, top coat, and 2 colors of polish. Here I used Stage 01-Innocent and 12-Astounding.

Color the base with darker shade and use the white shimmery polish to draw a line across diagonally. This will be easier for you to divide the nail into half.

Recently I have been quite addicted to soaps, it suddenly became all fun to discover awesomely cute soaps again!

Nostalgia Organics Happy Days Soap in Pinkgrapefruit & Wild Lemongrass

When I see this very cute soap from Nostalgia Organics, I was delighted! Look at the cute sack!!! First time I am having soap with sack! :D

soap

On the little instructions, it says I can saw a strawberry pin cushion from the sack. But honestly I am bad at crafts, so it is better that I recycle this sack as an accessory holder or something.

Found this pic on the net, you can sew the sack into this!

Undressing the soap. It is a huge bar!

Usually I chop my soap into half if the soap is too big.  I like to alternate my soaps :D

Through out my whole life of trying different brands of body scrub, I have of course come across several good ones. They were good for me until I discovered the better ones!

Honestly I have never been to a professional spa before, but now I know I can create one at home myself!

La Licious Body Scrub in Brown Sugar and Vanilla

Introducing - LaLicious in Brown Sugar & Vanilla Moisturizing Body Scrub. Picture above is a trial size of product at 56g (SGD$10).

Now, let me show you how awesome it is!

scrub step 1

After shower, don’t towel dry yet!

Scoop an adequate amount of scrub on your skin.  Smell it now and I bet you will have the urge of gulping it down. Well…I almost did…

rinse a little with water

Mix with a little bit of water and now you can see the scrub disappearing.

scrub

Proceed to scrub …scrub….gently..and pooof!

The scrub just miraculously gone missing!

It is actually made of coconut oil and therefore will be easily absorbed into our skin.

rinse clean with water

Rinsing time!

I love the water splashing against my skin. <3

And guess what?

What did I learn in January 2009…

Sis Nikki has great tips on how to make cream blush stay longer…and reminded me that it is time to let my Stila cream blush see the sunlight!

Paris B made me realized that I actually hardly finish one product till the last bit. *sigh* the 3-min passion in me…

Plue braved herself with FreshKon Mosaic Cosmetic Contact Lenses for the first time, and seriously I so feel like getting it too!

Bee’s discovery on Kérastase Biotic Concentré Bio-Recharge got me interested because I think I should have thicker hair than now at my age..bah!

Connie’s guide on Eyeshadow Primers 101 is priceless, read up if you are starting or looking for an eyeprimer (definitely will help you to spend less to get the best one)!

It is weird to see ALOT of food in beauty blog…but Jenn’s food adventure really got me drooled!

SoLoverly posted a DIY recipe for clarifying rinse with baking soda and apple cider and I am itching to try!

Yani’s thoughts in StriVectin Neck Cream made me realize that I really need to do something to my necklines..it is annoying and it is hereditary! Think this is something that I need to save up for.
