Review: Yuan Women Soap

by xin on January 8, 2010

Being quite a fan of Yuan soaps, I have tried quite some flavors of the soaps, some I have reviewed here, and some I have not.

Here is the latest piece of Yuan soap that I have tried out – Women Soap.

Yuan Women Soap ????

The name says it all right? The chinese characters mean: Crystal clear skin.

Being made as a women soap, it is made of quite a couple of herbs and promises to clear acne on face, reduce body ordor from the sweat, and women who are exposed to harsh detergents.

While it can be used for both face and body, I only use it for my body.

Yuan Women Soap ????

Ingredients: Japanese Honeysuckle (lonicera japonica), houttuynia (houttuynia cordata), Wild bitter gourd(Momordica), Verbena, Frankinsense (Boswellia carterii), Holly(Illex), Spearmint(mentha spicata), Patchouli oil (pogotemon cablin), Tea Tree Oil, Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis),Volcanic Mud, Mint Oil (menthe arvenis) Olive oil(Olea europeoa), Coconut oil(Cocos Nucifera)

Benefits: Works well for oily skin (face and body), pimples, and sensitive skin.

After a month of usage:

There is no more break outs on my hands and back! You know how sometimes when you scratch your back and accidentally break the zits?  I didn’t give much thoughts to it till I was scratching my back one day and found that nothing came out along with the scratches. (ooops)

I don’t suffer from serious bacne, but sometimes there will be few zits on my back especially when I am out in the sun during hot days and after I sweat. I don’t know if the soap bar has cleared up my skin or not, but honestly there is almost no bacne now.  😀

As for BO, err, I think I am not smelly, so I did not find myself smelling exceptionally good after using. But I find that Wild Mugwort does help sweaty smelly armpit though.

I could smell tea tree oil in the soap and I really love it! In fact, I love all the herb scents in all the soaps 😀 And it can be easily rinsed off leaving no residue on skin.

A piece of 100g Yuan Women Soap is priced at RM33.50 and is available here.  While the price is on the steep side, the benefits you enjoy is definitely different from a RM3 soap bar.

I suppose if you have special needs or condition to treat, you might want to give expensive treatment soap a try, otherwise any other soap will work as just fine for you. 🙂
