Ever since I got my hands on Yuan Soap from my last outing at Body Bar, I fell in love with Yuan soap totally!!! So, today i am going to do a brief review on the soap.
And I bought another two pieces of the soap yesterday! My bf is now a devotee too!
On the left: Cypress
On the right: Wild Mugwort
Cypress: For acne, pimple, nappy rash, bed sore, erythema, sebum secretion, itchy scalp, skin inflammation, allergic skin and athlete’s foot; also kills bacteria, stops itchiness and heals wounds.
My view: I did not use this for hair, hence the itchy scalp i cannot testify. But i really do like the strong herbal scent in the soap. The scent lingers quite a while after bath, and I find that occasional body acne reduced too.
Price: RM29.50

For the mind and spirit, aromatically, Cypress influences, strengthens, and helps ease the feeling of loss.
Cypress has been called the funeral oil. It creates a feeling of security, grounding, cohesion and stability. It provides mental structure and collection of thoughts for absent-mindedness, lack of concentration, squandering of energies, and uncontrollable sobbing. It has a calming, soothing effect on the irritable, angry and stressed-out person.
Cypress is a spiritual oil particularly helpful in times of turmoil and transition. Cypress can help counteract negative emotions of grief, sorrow, jealousy, lethargy, fear, timidly, and frustration.
Cypress essential oil encourages the positive emotions of strength, comfort, change, understanding, balance, sensitivity, generosity, inner peace, purity of heart, patience and trust.

Wild Mugwort: For acne, atopic dermatitis and eczema on the chest, back and cheeks, body odor.
My view: This is my personal favorite so far! I really love the strong herbal scent in the soap! And i find that with daily use, my armpit does NOT smell at all even though on days when i sweat a lot!!! I don’t use deodorant at all and this soap is a piece from heaven to me!
Price: RM29.50
In the picture: Lemon & Wild Mugwort
Lemon: For removing old cells, lightening pigmentation, tightening pores, and gives shine to skin.
My view: I am not sure about the removing old cells and pigmentation part. But this soap does not smell to lemony and it does not carry much herbal scent. So, if you are one who are scared of the strong herbal thing, you might like this.
Price: RM29.50
In the picture: Laundry soap
Laundry: Suitable for undergarments, brassieres, baby clothes, pillowcases, socks, towels, handkerchiefs, tableware, nursing bottles.
My view: I have been using this for my undergarments and I think it works REALLY WELL! I cut the soap to tiny pieces and use only 1 piece to wash my load of undergarments.
How: What I do is, I place the soap in a pail of hot water to melt it (water heater), then soak my undergarments for an hour before I wash them clean and rinse with water. I find that it does not dry my hands at all! And, it cleans everything really well. Most importantly, I used to get rashes on my chest when I was wearing bra and sweating alot when I used the normal detergent. But now it does not happen at all!
I am so so impressed!
Now, I am a convert. Would you pay RM30 for a piece of soap?

I am now using the Mung Bean one and seriously I think this is working so well!
I’ve never heard of this brand, but it looks pretty interesting. I wish they had some here to try out… hehe~
If it works for you, what’s RM30?
Glad you’re liking it. I’m starting on the Lemon one myself after straying for a spell teehee
wow..this looks interesting!!!! I’ve seen this on blogs and I can’t help but get intrigued with how it smells!
So the price is worth it?

am into soaps lately.
Wild Mugwort: For acne, atopic dermatitis and ECZEMA on the chest, back and cheeks, body odor.
Sounds like the one for me!
Thanks for the review
I’ve never heard of this brand, but the soaps sound very interesting!
Another Ah Yuan lover!
I tried the Mugwort soap for eczema but found it too strong for fragile skin and broke me out. Was wondering what to do with it. Glad to know it helps with sweat smells. I’ll try again.
I recommend the Mungbean and Job’s tears soap. It’s my favourite. I use it for the face:)
It’s a little expensive for me. Maybe when I have my own income, it isn’t too bad to pay for the soaps.
I still have not use my Cypress Soap. I’ll wait till I finish my body scrub first.
Enjoy your soap!
hi vivavoomz, if the mugwort soap is too strong for your eczema skin, try the oats soap, its the mildest.
Hey…thinking of buying some of these soaps for my little baby cousin coz she has very dry and sensitive skin. Sometimes, her mom doesn’t even dare to use soap or cleaning liquid on her. Just bath her with plain water only.
