Travel Fun: Peeking into my skincare and makeup pouch

by xin on April 21, 2011

Traveling is fun but the packing can be really tedious especially for a longer trip.

I will be traveling for 12 days and it is almost the longest time I have ever left my bed and computer! Naturally, packing of clothes and skincare needs some careful planning 😉

Skincare pouch:

My skincare supply for the trip.

I bought 11 pieces of sheet mask to be used daily 😀 I love the free ziplock back from Skin Food, handy!

In the skincare pack, I am using a free pouch from Clarins, it is transparent and I can tell what’s in it at one glance.

Moving on to the content:

Skincare pouch content

I am bringing cleanser, toner and moisturizer from Esmeria Glasswort range to test-drive in colder weather 😀

And Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen Protection SPF40,White Plus HP Night Cream, Yes to Carrot Cleanser, and essential oils! You can get the clear zip lock bag in different sizes from Daiso. LOVE! I keep my medicine in them too 😀

If you noticed, I did not bring any sample sachets simply because some sachets can last for few uses, but I will be changing hotel EVERY day, so I figure might as well just keep it in smaller bottles for ease of use.

Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains

The highlight here that I would like to introduce is this scrub – Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains.

Can’t believe I have never reviewed it, but it is an awesome product! It comes in a big glass jar but I have decanted it into small jar. It’s dry and you should mix it with your cleanser to create your own scrub. You can control the amount of grains as you wish. It’s so versatile and travel friendly! It never spills and will last you probably a century.

It’s slightly on the pricey side but I think it’s worth it.

Keeping the necessities in the zip-lock bag, I bought the tiny eye-drop bottle from Sasa, which is at RM4.90/4 pcs. And it contains Kielhs Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I know it’s not exactly a good idea to decant the essential oil into the rubber bottle, but I figure for a while without exposing to the sun it should be fine. Better than risking my skin to die of hydration!

Makeup pouch:

The simplest kit of all – makeup pouch.

I am only bringing a small bottle of Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, trusty Stila gel liner,Urban Decay Primer, Benefit Bella Bamba, Inuovi UV Fix Foundation to double as loose powder too.  Last but not least, an black glitter eye shadow and also 1 eyeliner brush and 1 eyeshadow brush. Both are Bobbi Brown minis.

I know some of you will be traveling soon too, do share with us your packing tips 😉 I would love to see!
